Olympus Dive Center’s 1st PADI IDC a huge sucess!

Wow, the day after comes to a close with so much to fondly look back on and so many exciting opportunities ahead for us. Yesterday we completed our first PADI Instructor Development Course and Instructor Examination. Congratulations to everyone who participated, you all did a great job and will be a credit to the dive industry, your community, and Olympus Dive Center. I want to personally thank course director Andy Kunig for making the very long days enjoyable and for creating and instilling a camaraderie in us that is beyond words. Gary Newman, our instructor examiner put up with some crazy weather to get here but was very patient and fair; we thank you Gary for your pearls of wisdom.

Commitment and focus were strong themes throughout this IDC meshing perfectly with our store's diving ethos. Olympus Dive Center is the better way to dive and train in North Carolina. I challenge every experienced diver out there with this; what is your next diving goal? How could you become a better diver? In what interesting direction could diving take you? Diving must be done safely which takes training and experience but it also needs to be FUN!!! That said, enjoy this montage from our recent IDC.

Looking ahead to the future we are very excited about our upcoming Instructor Development programs and we know we will have great candidates who bring a varied background into the mix. If you are interested in our programs, either becoming a Divemaster or looking for an economical, intensive, one stop shop environment to complete your Instructor development please pick our brains. 2. Great recap. Also hats off to the instructor who's problem children decided to take off their masks as she was demo-ing the mask removal skill. She handled that well!
