Sand Tiger Sharks are a common sight on the wrecks of North Carolina. Although commonly seen in large numbers off the ocast of North Carolina, the Sand Tiger Shark is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. This course teaches divers about the Sand Tiger Shark and how we as divers can help Sand Tiger Shark research along the Atlantic coast.
The purpose of the PADI Spot A Shark USA Photography Distinctive Specialty Diver course is to educate divers about the Sand Tiger Shark and how in conjunction with the citizen-science program Spot A Shark USA, divers can help with Sand Tiger Shark research.

*Boat dives, UW camera, nitrox tanks, and rental gear not included
Prerequisites:
To take this course, you must be:
· A PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) with a minimum of 25 logged dives.
· PADI Deep Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) OR logged experience of dives deeper than 100 feet.
· A PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
· 15 years old
· Experienced with offshore dives on North Carolina's deeper shipwrecks
