WEST PALM BEACH SCUBA DIVING
April 6-8, 2019
Olympus Dive Center
Join Olympus Dive Center for our annual return to the South Florida Coast! With the largest artificial reef program in the country, you can dive a new wreck in Palm Beach County every day for months! This combined with the 3rd largest Barrier Reef in the world makes Palm Beach County a "mecca" for divers!
The West Palm Beach area is considered the drift diving capital of Florida. The crystal blue waters of the Gulf Stream dip closest to Florida here at Singer Island in West Palm Beach which creates a mild current (1 knot average) running parallel to our wrecks and reef lines. The gentle current allows divers to drift effortlessly along all the dive sites with little energy expended. When the dive is finished, simply surface with our guide or next to your personal surface marker and the boat will pick you up. You’ll use less air here as you float lazily through your dive!
In addition to the great wrecks and reefs this trip offers Scuba diving at the world renowned Blue Heron Bridge, also known as Phil Foster Park, is something every diver who visits West Palm Beach, Florida should experience. The Blue Heron Bridge was chosen in 2013 as the best dive site in the world by PADI’s Sport Diver magazine for good reasons… Its diversity of marine life and its easy accessibility are just two of the many important traits of this terrific dive site.
